For many years my official title has been ‘health journalist’, but I have written many feature articles for newspapers and magazines on a variety of topics, with health really being a special interest.

In case you’re interested, some of the (South African) magazines I’ve been published in include: Fairlady, True Love, Baby & Me, Your Family, Living and Loving, Oprah, A2, Aesthetic Surgery Magazine, Femina, Pace, Tribute, Ebony SA, Longevity, ASM, Me!, Indigo, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s Value, Edgars Club, Sales House Club, Club Jet and Clicks Clubcard. (Some are now defunct.) I’ve also been published in the Mail & Guardian and Sunday Times and was a regular health writer for Business Day’s health supplement until it closed down.

I’ve also published a book, ghost-written another, produced large numbers of press releases, written strategic documents for businesses and even written a couple of scripts for school plays and some not-too-bad songs. I can turn my hand to most forms of writing, and often surprise myself when I try something new and succeed.

I like to think of myself as a one-stop writing shop.

I am an author, journalist and editor – a writer-at-large, if you will – based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

About 90 percent of good writing is in the edit. Even the best novelists write several drafts before they even submit a manuscript to a publisher – who edits it again.

Writing Coaching

One of the best ways to learn to write well is through one-on-one coaching. Bring me that document you’re struggling with, and we’ll write it together.

Business Writing Training

I’ve developed a number of business writing modules for a local writing school, Allaboutwriting, because – like so many consumers – I’ve been on the receiving end of some pretty diabolical business communication.

I’d love to talk to you if you’re interested in working with me. Drop me an email and I’ll come back to you as soon as I possibly can:

This is not your usual recipe book. In fact, it’s less of a recipe book and more of a family feeding plan that takes the guesswork out of planning and cooking family dinners.
